Chesapeake fire destroys mobile home, takes lives of 3 dogs

One person will be displaced, but their dogs did not survive the fire.

CHESAPEAKE, Va. — A fire at a Chesapeake mobile home has displaced one person taken the lives of their three dogs.

The fire department said they were called to the 2600 block of Village Avenue in the Deep Creek section of the city around 7:23 p.m. Friday after they’d received multiple reports about the fire. When they arrived five minutes later, crews found the mobile home completely involved in fire.

The home, they said, was occupied by one adult and three dogs. At the time of the fire, the owner was not home, but the dogs were, and they did not survive.

The fire was marked under control at 7:40 p.m. and there were no injuries reported, apart from one adult who was checked on the scene.

Chesapeake firefighters say the fire has been ruled accidental and that the resident who was displaced will be staying with their family.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
