EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – Someone dumped a dog from a car window Thursday in Evansville, and it was caught on camera.
It happened outside Salvage Candy, on a camera that often captures people dumping trash and, unfortunately, animals on South Weinbach Avenue.

The scared dog ran as Good Samaritans tried to help.
Lots of cars stopped, hoping to get the dog to safety.
Eventually, the dog was caught and taken by animal control.
People from Salvage Candy say the dog seemed to be okay.
We hear the dog has been named “Salvage.”
Animal Control will take adoption applications starting Friday, but Salvage is on a 10 day hold.
