WORCESTER ― They’re adorable and looking for their forever homes.

The Worcester Police Department said the Worcester Animal Rescue League has been at capacity for the past several months. Now they’re working to find both foster and adoptive families for a large number of dogs.

“These dogs were the result of calls for service to WPD’s Animal Control,” said Joe Cersosimo, spokesman for the Worcester Police Department. “There were strays or surrendered to us by citizens who couldn’t take care of them.”

In a video posted to social media, several dogs can be seen greeting the camera through the bars of their kennels.

The Police Department said the Animal Rescue League is also in dire need of supplies including Purina One dog food, Friskies pâté, blankets, towels, laundry detergent and paper towels.

Donations can be dropped at the Worcester animal rescue league at 139 Holden St.

If you are interested in fostering or adopting, please call Worcester Animal Control at (508) 799-1211.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
