
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – A dog is recovering at the Lexington Humane Society after being rescued from abuse off the street.
According to the Humane Society, a group of children were throwing rocks at a dog, whom they are now calling Rudy, over and over again.
The Humane Society says a bystander witnessed the incident and intervened, rushing Rudy to the shelter.
Rudy’s jaw was injured, several of his bottom teeth were uprooted and his legs were covered in puncture wounds.
We’re told he is now on his way to recovery at the shelter.
