Columbus North swept a dual track and field meet from Franklin Tuesday in its final tuneup for next week’s sectional girls and boys meets.
The Bull Dog boys beat the Grizzly Cubs 86-46, while the North girls were victorious 84-48.
Tucker Tower won the high jump (5 feet, 10 inches) and long jump (19-4), Owen Russell took the 110-meter hurdles (15.60 seconds) and 300 hurdles (41.33) and Jace Works captured the 1,600 (4:13.40) and 800 (1:58.27) to lead the North boys. Other winners were Koleton Sinnock in the shot put (43- 1/2), Flint Santi DeLuna in the discus (139-9), Ben Stevens in the 400 (52.13), Matthew Burge in the 200 (23.32) and Neal White in the 3,200 (9:32.10).
Individual winners for the girls were Avery Johnson in the long jump (15-10), Sydni Schiefer in the shot (40-5 1/2), Gabby Revell in the discus (123-8), Tristan Works in the 1,600 (5:17.99), Reece Peeples in the 400 (1:01.07), Carys Glyn-Jones in the 800 (2:16.97) and Emerson Chambers in the 200 (26.31). The Bull Dogs also took the 4×800 (10:15.17) and 4×400 (4:10.45) relays.
