INDIANAPOLIS — Columbus North gymnastics got off to its best start in several years Wednesday with a 109.525 to 93.4 victory at Franklin Central.
The Bull Dogs’ score was nearly two points higher than their highest score from all of last season.
Reese Euler won the bars (9.45), beam (9.75) and floor (9.5) and tied with teammate Hayden Harper for first on the vault (9.3) to win the all-around competition with a 38.025. Harper finished third on the bars (8.975) and fourth on the beam (9.0) en route to a second-place all-around finish with a 35.375.
Ellie McIntier placed second on the bars (9.1), third on the floor (8.55) and fourth on the vault (8.55) on her way to a fourth in the all-around (33.375).
Hannah Perry finished second on the floor (8.9). Peyton Hewitt took third on the vault (8.625), and Arwyn Tian was third on the beam (9.05). Emerson Chambers placed fourth on the floor (8.5).
