Bull Dogs go 3-1 at Heritage Days Classic

HOPE — Columbus North went 3-1 to finish runner-up in Saturday’s Heritage Days Classic.

The Bull Dogs beat Oldenburg Academy 25-17, 25-22; South Dearborn 25-16, 20-25, 15-12 and Madison 25-17, 17-25, 15-7 before falling to Greensburg 25-17, 29-27 in the title game.

Kennedy Horn recorded 45 kills and 13 blocks, and Reese Edwards had 43 assists and five aces to lead North (13-14). Morgan Osborn notched 38 digs.

Also for the Bull Dogs, Karen Dutro pounded 30 kills, Elaina Penrod added 11 kills, Holly Evans tallied 32 assists and Lexi Denny contributed 15 assists. Edwards posted 17 digs, Ally Wettschurack had 16 digs, Osborn served three aces and Lucy Wilson added two aces.
