INDIANAPOLIS — Columbus North had a handful of boys track athletes compete at Friday’s Ben Davis Invitational and came away with three first-place finishes.
Tucker Tower won the long jump with a leap of 20 feet, 8 inches. Jace Works took the 1,600 meters in 4 minutes, 15.93 seconds, and Graham Pumphrey captured the 800 in 1:58.71.
The Bull Dogs’ Owen Russell finished second in the 300 hurdles (41.73) and third in the 110 hurdles (15.62). Denton Sluder took second in the 1,600 (4:26.90), and Jonny Klaus was second in the 3,200 (9:30.50).
Other third-place finishers were Flint Santi DeLuna in the discus (135-10), Ben Stevens in the 400 (51.97), Kohen Fischer in the 800 (2:07.31),
