Bull Dogs blank Bloomington North

BLOOMINGTON — Columbus North won all five matches in straight sets Monday in opening its Conference Indiana girls tennis season with a 5-0 win at Bloomington North.

Aya Saad blanked Casey O’Connell 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles, Lucy Bergman beat Sarah Kaviani 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2 singles and Molly Richards topped Lilia McHaley 6-2, 7-6 (2) at No. 3 singles for the Bull Dogs (5-0, 1-0).

Columbus North’s Annabelle Sun and Nino Akalaya downed Oakley Yoder and Ashley Stegemoller 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 doubles. Grace Conner and Lizzie Bodart defeated Ruby Stillwell and Ally O’Guinn 6-2, 6-2 at No. 2 doubles.
