We recently talked about handbag charms, and as much as we love those cutie jewels, it’s clear we’ve met the mother of bag bejeweling with the latest from Lord Jewelry—because it’s an actual handbag.
The Legends, as this item has been named, combines Lord designer Sinork Agdere’s knack for incredible detail with the revered figures of ancient Greece.
“The Legends is not just an assembly of precious materials, it is a one-of-a-kind creation that weaves together stories that transcend time,” Agdere tells JCK. “My inspiration stems from the timeless allure of mythology—those ancient gods and heroes who embody the essence of human triumph, tragedy, and transformation.
“With this piece I aimed to unite the wisdom of the ancient world with innovative craftsmanship, crafting something truly unique that pushed creative boundaries in a way that speaks to the heart.”
The 18k yellow gold handbag features the micromosaic work Lord Jewelry has made itself known for. It is packed with Greek gods and mortals: Ares, Dionysus, Apollo, Menelaus, Paris, Diomedes, Odysseus, Nestor, Achilles, Agamemnon, and Poseidon all make the scene here.
A pear-shape emerald decorates the bag’s side, and a rose-cut diamond sits atop it like a crown, flanked by impeccably detailed golden snakes.
“This was a passion project and a labor of love,” Agdere explains. “It took over a year in the making to bring to life. Crafting this piece required a deep reverence for the past and an unwavering commitment to excellence. Every intricate detail was a journey into the heart of these ancient tales. The engineering of the rotating mechanism was both a technical challenge and a work of passion—just the way I love creating.
