BREAKING: Woman, dog dead in Climax homicide

CLIMAX, Michigan — A woman and dog were found dead after police responded to a call near the downtown area of the village of Climax.

Police say they arrested one person in connection to the deaths and that criminal charges are pending. The incident happened around 10 p.m. Saturday night on North Main Street right near the center of town. The bodies of the woman and dog were found when officers from the Kalamazoo County Sheriff Department arrived. Investigators have not said what led up to the deaths nor have they given out any information about the suspect. 

Deputies tell us there is no threat to the public.
