Bosnia’s Demining Dogs Sniff Out Land Mines In Ukraine

World-renowned for their experience with clearing land mines after the Balkan wars of the 1990s, a team of demining experts from Bosnia are in Ukraine helping to train sappers. Some 35,000 square kilometers were cleared last year after a third of Ukraine’s territory was mined following Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022. The Bosnian deminers are part of Norwegian People’s Aid and work with mine-detection dogs that were bred and trained in Sarajevo. The special canine unit has been deployed to Ukrainian minefields and also works with emergency crews who respond to air strikes.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
