Boca Rudeton roars — or barks — into June.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — How rude and self-absorbed are residents and visitors in Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Boynton Beach, and beyond? So rude that they again fill up the never-ending digital pages of our Boca Rudeton section. This week’s edition is jam packed with dogs in restaurants, makeup stores, supermarkets, and drivers who think it’s okay to create their own parking space. Welcome to Boca Rudeton for Sunday, June 1st, 2025.

If you think that laws are correct and this dog shouldn’t be sitting at a table at Souvlaki at 8794 Boynton Beach Boulevard, you’re not alone. Our tipster doesn’t know why this woman was allowed inside with the animal.

We start at Souvlaki Restaurant in Boynton Beach, where our tipster says this woman walked into the restaurant and was strangely seated inside — with the dog — even though outside seating was plentiful. We’re not sure if Souvlaki knows that they can’t have dogs inside the restaurant, but perhaps a health inspector will visit at some point and remind them of laws and statutes. If you’re looking for a dog-free environment, maybe skip Souvlaki.

At Aldi in Boca Raton, it’s unclear why this huge dog is with this woman. Or far away from the woman. The dog shouldn’t be in a supermarket.

At Aldi in Pompano Beach, this woman inexplicably has a huge dog on a leash that seems to be designed to keep a violent animal away from others. Which makes us wonder: is this dog violent? Why is a huge dog — let alone any dog — in Aldi? Dogs are not allowed in supermarkets. It’s just that simple. Maybe this dog has special magical powers. But it’s so far from its woman that it seems unlikely that the dog does anything other than get attention. But of course, we could be wrong.

Does this dog really need to be in Sephora in Boca Raton? One wonders if you buy your seemingly fake service animal vests from Amazon, couldn’t you get your makeup there, too?

We’re not actually sure what the rules are in makeup stores. It seems bizarre that you’d want to bring your dog into a place where you’re putting stuff on your face, but we think it comes down to just how “natural” the makeup truly is. If it’s as natural as advertised, you’d think this dog wouldn’t be permitted in Sephora on Glades Road near 441. If the makeup is just full of additives and preservatives, then maybe it’s okay to have a dog in the store.

Two spots, one car at The Boys Farmers Market in Boynton Beach.

To parking now. We start at The Boy’s Farmers Market in Boytnon Beach, where our tipster wonders why the Toyota Highlander with Florida plate Y87-SDV is taking up two spots. We wonder, too.

Two spaces for one Tesla at “The Space” in Delray Beach. Florida Plate 75B-ISG, is that you?

It’s mildly amusing that at “The Space” on Congress in Delray Beach, the Tesla with Florida plate 75B-ISG is taking two spaces. It doesn’t seem like too many people are looking for space to enjoy a cold plunge and “breathwork,” but maybe the facility could encourage drivers to use one space for one car.

At Aberdeen Golf and Country Club, the Mercedes with Florida license plate IJ9-9AQ is taking two spots. Why?

At Aberdeen Golf and Country Club in Boynton Beach, our tipster there is curious about the Mercedes. Not whether or not it’s a nice car, but why the “entitled driver” with Florida plate IJ9-9AQ needs two spots. Excellent question. If you have answer, please use our contact form to let us know.

Why would the driver of the Nissan Murano with Florida plate 15A-IZD need to park in a no parking zone?

And at the Publix shopping center at Glades Road and U.S. 441 in West Boca Raton, you’ve got to credit to the person who decided to make their own space. That person is the driver of this Nissan Murano with Florida license plate 15A-IZD. For those of you tuning into life late, it turns out white diagonal lines mean “don’t park here” instead of “yes park here.” Our tipster isn’t sure if it’s arrogance, ignorance, stupidity, or all three. We’re leaning towards the latter.

So who is our winner this week? Frequent readers of our Boca Rudeton™ feature know that we don’t really give prizes, but if we did: we think Souvlaki Dog and its owner absolutely are the Boca Rudeton standouts. The prize we won’t be presenting: a free copy of the upcoming BocaNewsNow.com book: “it’s not hard to be considerate of others, so leave your damn dog at home.” Remember: it’s never the dog’s fault. The dog can’t choose whether it gets a considerate or selfish human.

We remind our readers that there is no expectation of privacy in a public place. Don’t want to be seen here? Don’t be rude here! Send your submissions to us using the menu buttons above. Share your thoughts about this week’s pet owners and bad parkers through our contact channels. Boca Rudeton™ is a trademark of MetroDesk Media, LLC. Exceptionally rude people are a trademark of South Palm Beach County. Feel you were misrepresented? Send us a note.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
