BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) – Be Happy Yoga & Salt Cave partnered with the Bowling Green/Warren County Humane Society for Saturday morning dog yoga on the front lawn.
For participants to attend, the class costs $25 for each person. All proceeds from the class are then given to the humane society to help with costs and encourage adoptions.
Not only is yoga relaxing, but with the help of dogs, you may make a new friend during the class.
Be Happy Yoga & Salt Cave Owner Susan Polk enjoys these events and encourages more participants to join the fun.
“We love to partner with our local humane society to help them out, and in turn, it helps our students to bond with animals. It’s just a really nice, fun way to enjoy being outside and being with the dogs,” said Polk.
Yoga Instructor Morgan Gilbert encourages yoga, considering its health benefits, and believes it’s great for dogs during these classes as well.
“Dog yoga is great for improving your serotonin levels and raising your serotonin levels. You make the dog’s day by coming out here. We also raise money for the humane society, it’s a great event to come to,” said Gilbert.
While more dog yoga events are expected to come, the Humane Society is always welcoming volunteers if you’re interested in getting involved.
