For somebody who almost lost his dog unexpectedly, I know the pain of going through the loss of a pet brings on a tremendous amount of stress and anxiety. But it’s mostly the pain of losing our loved one that makes it very difficult to navigate through the emotions.
Firefighters were called to a home on Van Buren Street near Penn Street just before 2:30 p.m. Sunday, according to the Battle Creek Fire Department. When they arrived, firefighters found flames from a first-floor window and quickly began to extinguish the fire. No injuries were reported, however, three dogs and three cats died in the fire.
As unfortunate as these losses can be, it brings me some comfort that we have different associations in the country that help people cope with the loss of their pets.

Just remember that we know the pain is real, but you are not alone and we are all here for each other to get through the tough times.
