SYRACUSE, N.Y. — It’s time for some furry friends to enjoy some baseball.
NBT Bank Stadium’s “Bark in the Park” returns this Sunday after being rained out on a previous date. For only $5 your four-legged friend can enjoy a variety of activities including a pre-game pet parade and a “Mets Minster” dog show featuring celebrity judges. Water stations and Puppuccino’s will be provided for dogs in shady areas of the stadium, and the first 300 dogs to arrive will get a free blanket.
Dogs must be at least 6 months old and only one dog is allowed per adult. Dogs owners must also sit in dog friendly areas of the stadium.
In case you aren’t a dog parent, Bark in the Park will also feature seven different rescue organizations for those interested in adopting. Children eat free during the game and will get the opportunity to run the bases afterwards.
Proceeds will be donated to local rescue groups. Gates for the event open at noon with first pitch at 1:05 p.m. as the Mets take on the Rochester Red Wings
Tickets can be purchased at the door or on the Syracuse Mets website and any questions can be answered at the ticket office (315) 474-7833.
