Bark at the Park brings fans and their fur friends to the K

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Hot dogs weren’t the only dogs at Kauffman Stadium for the first game of a 7-game homestand. Bark at the Park meant fur-friend fans were also on hand. The tail-wagging total was 414.

KCTV5 got to see some tails wagging to motivate a win.

Some pups were promised popcorn, a bite of a hot dog or maybe a whole frank for being good boys and girls.

A rainy, chilly night meant plenty of pet jerseys and plenty of canine raincoats.

They all got to go home with a Royals vs. Orioles food mat.

Upcoming Bark at the Park promotions will feature a Royals vs. White Sox bandana on May 5 and a mystery Hot Dog Derby plush toy on Sept. 16.

Royals promotions continue all weekend. Saturday is a Bring Out The Blue T-Shirt Giveaway with Charlie Hustle tees for the first 10,000 fans. On Sunday, if you’re not watching the game at home on KCTV5, be one of the first 15,000 through the gate for a Vinnie Pasquantino bobblehead.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
