Awards Radar Community: What is Your Favorite Performance by a Dog?

Who doesn’t love a dog? I know I sure do. In fact, Awards Radar’s own Executive Vice President is my dog, Bentley (Ben or Benny to his friends). Cinema loves dogs too, as seen in film after film in which our canine companions feature prominently. So, with The Friend now in theaters and featuring an incredible dog performance from Bing to share with the world, it felt like a good time an Awards Radar Community Question. The query? What is your favorite performance by a dog?

Once you see The Friend, I do think Bing is going to blow people away with his turn as Apollo. He stands tall with just about any other work I’ve seen from a dog. Another recent example? Messi as Snoop in Anatomy of a Fall, which is splendid as well. A bit further back, there’s Uggie as Jack in The Artist. Simply put, dogs have had their day on screen, which I am fully in support of.

Now, the choice is yours? Which of our four-legged friends has given your favorite performance on screen? It could be one of the ones I mentioned or another that I haven’t. Wherever you fall, that’s cool. Just be sure to chime in…

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
