Atlantic City man who dumped dogs indicted for animal cruelty

An Atlantic City man captured on camera dumping an injured dog at the Humane Society of Atlantic County after hours has been indicted on several counts of animal cruelty.

Jahlil McNeal, 23, allegedly dumped four dogs on two separate occasions after hours at the animal shelter on Absecon Boulevard.

He was arrested in August after several people alerted authorities to his identity after video from July 15, was posted of a man hoisting a dog over the fence of the building and dropping her.

A still from video shows the man walking with the dog on a leash.

The dog — then called Brenda — lands on her side, and then gets up. She was missing patches of fur.

Brenda was found with severe scarring from some form of chemical or temperature burns on large sections of her back, according to the charges.

Before that, McNeal was captured on video April 8, when he hoisted three dogs over the fence.

Due to the permanent scarring on Brenda’s back, McNeal was indicted for failure to provide the requisite veterinary care for her, resulting in bodily injury. He was also charged with theft of services and witness tampering.

McNeal was in custody at the jail for just a few hours at that time, and released with monitoring.

He violated that supervised release last month, when he allegedly pushed his pregnant girlfriend to the ground and fled with her cell phone, according to new charges he faces.

The woman, who has three children with McNeal, signed charges against him, but told defense investigators eight days later that she did not want to pursue them and wanted McNeal home.

She said he was a big help with their children, especially a daughter who is autistic, according to information read into the record by Judge Jeffrey Wilson at the hearing.

Wilson released McNeal on the same prior conditions of weekly reporting.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
