COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – Firefighters battled a massive blaze at an apartment complex on the southeast side of Colorado Springs Thursday.
The fire was first reported just after 9 Thursday morning at The Vue at Spring Creek Apartments off Circle and Monterey. A third alarm was called just minutes after crews got on the scene.
Smoke could be seen from several miles.
The Colorado Springs Fire Department is reporting they had the blaze under control in about one hour. At least one cat died and multiple dogs were rescued. No people were injured. CSFD added that about 20 units were impacted and at least two were destroyed.
The cause is under investigation.
