A man has been arrested following reports that a dog was killed at a home in Cornwall. Police confirmed that officers were called to the house in Lanner near Redruth over the death of the Chihuahua.
Devon and Cornwall Police also said that a local man was arrested on suspicion of harming the tiny pet. He was released on bail as investigations continue.
The police do not name people who are arrested but will name those who are charged with crimes. CornwallLive knows the name of the arrested man but also has a policy not to name on arrest.
