Three dogs attacked people in Hartlepool after they escaped, including a mum trying to protect her baby.
Armed officers rushed to Sheriff Street in Hartlepool this afternoon after three German Shepherds escaped from a home and attacked people.
Residents in the neighbourhood were told to keep their doors closed and stay indoors when the animals were on the loose until they were later captured.
Three people were injured when the dogs lunged at them. One person was taken to the hospital by ambulance, while the three others took themselves in.

The police confirmed that ‘none of the dogs have been destroyed’ following ‘some speculation circulating on social media.’
A mum, who asked not to be named, told BBC News how she saw the canines running toward her as she was about to go inside her home, where her 14-week-old baby was in the hallway along with two children.
She said: ‘At first I thought nothing of it, but one of them kind of clocked me and went for me,” she said.
‘I tried to keep the car between us and was running round and round it but then I thought, right I might be able to get to my house.
‘As I opened the door one of them grabbed me in the back of my thigh and pulled me backwards, and after that things were a bit of a blur.’
Scott Holliday, a neighbour, witnessed the attack.
He said he tried to ‘make sure the door stayed shut and the people inside, especially the kids, were safe’ although the animals were ‘ragging me about.’
‘It was scary, several of us ended up in hospital and I’ve got a pretty sore leg, but it could have been a hell of a lot worse,’ he said.
Cleveland Police said: ‘Three dogs have been seized by police following an incident in Hartlepool shortly before 2pm this afternoon (Sunday 1st June).
‘The German Shepherd dogs had escaped from a property on Sheriff Street in Hartlepool and attacked several people in the street. Those injured were treated by paramedics at the scene.
‘All of the dogs have been removed from the property by officers, and the area is now safe again.’
The police said at about 3pm that while ‘any immediate threat to the public has now been eliminated, we would still ask people to stay away from the area and remain indoors with their doors closed, whilst officers deal with the incident.’
