APA waiving some dog adoption fees to address shelter overflow

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – The Animal Protective Association (AP) of Missouri is waiving some adoption fees to address shelter overflow.

The APA said both shelters have over 650 pets, making them at capacity. To urgently accommodate more pets in need, the organization is waiving adoption fees for all dogs over 30 pounds until July 22. The APA also has a “foster to adopt” option that allows potential adopters to ensure a good fit before finalizing the adoption.

All pets are vaccinated, spayed/neutered and microchipped before they leave the APA. Each adoption also includes a collar, pet ID tag, leash, starter bag of dog food, 30 days of complimentary pet insurance and one week of dog training from GoodPup.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
