Another dog found dead in trash in East Hartford

EAST HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) – Animal control found two dead dogs thrown away like trash in less than one week.

On Tuesday, officers found a golden retriever abandoned in a garbage can behind Stop & Shop.

Then on Sunday, animal control was alerted to another dog found in the trash of the wooded area across from 53 Forbes St.

[WARNING: Some of these details may be upsetting to hear]

Officers said the dog appeared to be a young Pitbull around 4-10 weeks old.

They said it suffered from an apparent gun shot to its side.

The dog appeared mostly brown, but given the beginning of decompensation, officers said it may have been gray in some areas as well.

Anyone with information was asked to call East Hartford Animal Control at 860-291-7572 and leave a message.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
