BERKS CO., Pa. – The Animal Rescue League of Berks County says it’s not taking in large dogs at this time.
The shelter in Cumru Township posted about the change on Facebook.
It’s in effect through Thursday.
The shelter is waiving the adoption fee for dogs that weigh more than 40 pounds for the rest of this month.
It’s also waiving adoption fees for all older cats and dogs.
Officials say anyone interested in fostering a dog can reach out to the shelter.
