Animal Control searching for dogs that attacked dog, bit owner in Sioux Falls

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – On Tuesday around 1:00 p.m., a woman was bit by a dog near North Spring Avenue and West Russell Street in Sioux Falls.

According to Animal Control, a woman had her dog outside in her yard when two stray dogs started to attack it.

As the woman was breaking up the dog fight, she was bit on her thumb.

The dogs were described as a black and white collie mix and a black and white pit bull mix. One dog was wearing a pink and white collar, and the other was wearing an orange and red collar.

Animal Control needs to identify the dogs in this incident to verify their vaccinations. If you have any information on this dog, please call Sioux Falls Animal Control at 367-7000.
