LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Animal Care Society is looking for fosters and adopters after 12 dogs were accepted from the Muhlenberg County Humane Society, which was damaged by a recent tornado.
The immediate influx of shelter animals has increased the demand for space. Visit the ACS website to make a donation.
“Muhlenberg County Humane Society lost a number of their outdoor kennels,” ACS Executive Director Jason Wetherington said. “They sustained substantial flooding and other hardships that made it hard for them to care for their dogs. So we’re grateful to have the resources and space to welcome these dogs into Animal Care Society and look forward to finding them their forever homes.”
ACS is recognized as Kentucky’s first No-Kill shelter and has been providing dogs and cats in need of help with shelter and medical care since 1984.
