Anderson Co. man arrested after dogs found severely underweight or dead

ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office reports a suspect was arrested on Tuesday after four neglected dogs were found in his possession that were either severely underweight or dead.

Deputies report responding to Sarah Simpson Road in Iva in reference to four malnourished dogs.

Three of the Shepherds were severely malnourished and underweight while the fourth was found dead, deputies said.

36-year-old Alton Davis was charged with four counts of ill treatment of animals and one count of improper burial.

Davis was booked into the Anderson County Detention Center and given a $20,000 surety bond.

Deputies said the three living dogs were given to Anderson County PAWS where they are receiving extensive treatment.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
