Amelia Gray is the model of the moment. In need of receipts? We’ll direct you to the fact that in 2025 already, she’s walked in countless shows as part of New York, Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks. Her talents have seen her collaborate with The Kooples by designing a bag for the brand *and* the 23-year-old has starred on magazine covers for Perfect, Vogue Japan and most recently Dazed‘s spring 2025 New Gen issue.
It is the latter we’re currently obsessing over, with both the publication and Amelia taking to social media to share a look at the cover and accompanying photoshoot. Stepping into the world of Japanese artist Takashi Murakami ahead of his latest collaboration with Louis Vuitton – as modelled by none other than Zendaya for the official campaign, FYI – Amelia can be seen throughout surrounded by the French fashion house’s immediately recognisable handbags.
And, err, not much else, ditching clothes entirely for gold body paint in one image. Scroll to see for yourself:
Amelia is unrecognisable in the pic as she has been transformed into a gold statue, covered head-to-toe in metallic body paint. To protect her modesty as she poses naked, the model has her arms crossed over her body and holds a small top-handle bag in one hand and a large duffel bag in the other, strategically positioned to obscure her body from the hips down.
Final image aside, it’s the BTS clip included in Amelia’s carousel post that’s really worth seeing (above, fourth slide from the end). Sitting on a dressing gown on a chair with a protective plastic sheet covering the floor around her, Amelia can be seen in just a nude thong as three people paint her body gold and a fourth person styles her hair.
Dazed, too, shared their own BTS video that sees Amelia fully painted gold and running through The Centre Pompidou in Paris, where the photoshoot took place. She can be heard saying in the clip, “This is the most crazy shoot I’ve ever done!” In a post-shoot interview with Amelia in a make-up chair, no longer gold, she adds, “I did say at one point, ‘Are we going to get arrested?’”
Luckily, no arrests were made and we’ve been gifted with what will no doubt go down as an iconic shot in the model’s career.
