Alachua County Animal Shelter at capacity after taking in 94 dogs

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – Alachua County Animal Services officials say their kennels are full after the shelter took in 94 dogs in just two weeks.

Adoption fees are waived at the shelter as officials ask the public for help adopting or fostering dogs in Alachua County.

Last week, Gainesville Police Department officers raided a suspected dogfighting operation at a property on Southwest First Street.

14 dogs were removed from makeshift kennels on the property by Alachua County Animal Services.

The shelter is welcome for adopters Tuesday through Sunday, 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. People interested in fostering dogs can email foster@alachuacounty.us.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
