Detectives and fire crews are looking into a house fire in Johnston County on Wednesday.
Several people were in the home on Watson Road, near North Johnston High School, when it caught fire.
A woman called 911 to report that she and her daughter were trapped. First responders were able to get them to safety and also rescued several dogs who were trapped.
The home had heavy fire and smoke damage. Crime scene tape was posted in the yard.
Johnston County fire teams and Johnston County Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating what caused the fire.
