Forget celebrity look-alikes: Adrien Brody is twinning with a canine.
On Tuesday, the Asteroid City actor acknowledged that he bears a striking resemblance to a certain shaggy friend of his — an inevitability for all pet owners.
“How come we always end up looking like our dogs?,” Brody wrote on Instagram, with two cry-laughing emojis. The caption was accompanied by side-by-side photos of Brody matching the vibe of his previous dog and his current canine companion.

“Like father like son,” one commenter wrote, while another joked, “Which one is you?”
Brody, well-established as a dog-lover, told the Gentleman’s Journal in 2021 that he frequently collected stray dogs during his childhood in New York City.
“I’ve always loved animals,” he said. “I think I was born that way. Some of it comes through osmosis. If you’re raised with a respect for animals, and you’re made aware of the life in a blade of grass, then that perspective will blossom within you. But some of it comes genetically — my mother is particularly attuned to all living beings, especially those in need.”

Brody’s love of animals extends well beyond puppies: his social media feeds feature photos of the actor with everything from rats to bisons to horses. He also has several cats, who share the spotlight with his latest dog.
After working on 2017’s Bullet Head, a thriller about career-criminals who find themselves trapped in a warehouse with a killer canine, Brody partnered with animal rescue organizations to raise funds for the rehabilitation of abused and abandoned bully breed dogs.
