Abandoned dogs spark call for community action and support

After six Great Pyrenees dogs were found abandoned near Garfield Township, the Arnell Humane Society is urging Polk County residents to take proactive steps when encountering stray animals—and to consider supporting local shelters as they face space shortages during the busy summer months.

A recent incident led to the Arnell Humane Society taking in six Great Pyrenees dogs. They were found in a rural area outside the City of Amery, near Garfield Township. A local animal control officer discovered them and brought the dogs to the Arnell Humane Society. At that time, no owner came forward, but a post was made online about them, which eventually revealed that they had been abandoned.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
