A  case of animal abandonment has been reported to the local animal shelter, involving three dogs found deserted on River Road in the county.

The Vincennes Animal Shelter announced the situation via social media and highlighted the growing concern over the rising number of abandoned pets in the area.

The shelter stressed the seriousness of the issue, reminding the community that “animals are living beings, NOT TRASH to be discarded like garbage.” In an effort to hold the responsible individuals accountable, the shelter is urging anyone with information about the dogs’ owners to come forward. Callers can remain anonymous, but the shelter has made it clear that the owners will be prosecuted if identified.

The shelter’s number is 812-882-8826.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
