CINCINNATI (WXIX/Gray News) – An Ohio family is in mourning after their daughter was mauled by two dogs two days after Christmas.

The Hamilton County Coroner’s Office identified the child as 3-year-old Kingsley Wright.

Cincinnati Police Lt. Jonathan Cunningham says the incident happened inside a home in the 7000 block of Stillwell Road around 8 a.m. on Dec. 27.

According to the 911 calls, Wright was asleep in the living room on the couch when she was attacked.

“I just woke up and my daughter is dead. There’s blood everywhere, I don’t know what happened,” a man, who identified himself as Wright’s father, told dispatchers. “I don’t understand what went on.”

As emergency crews headed to the Roselawn apartment, the dispatcher advised the man to “put away” any pets.

“They’re in the cage, that’s why I’m like, ‘Did any of my pets attack her or something?’” He said.

“Were they out loose?” The dispatcher asked.

“No,” the caller responded.

Lt. Cunningham says the dogs were also known to the family.

Cincinnati Animal CARE was also dispatched to the scene that morning. A media spokesperson for the shelter says police called them to remove three dogs from the home. The dogs are now in a state-required 10-day quarantine period.

Ohio law says dogs who have bitten someone should be quarantined for at least 10 days for rabies observation. Additionally, the owner of the dog(s) is held liable if the animal causes injury or death.

The 3-year-old’s funeral services are being organized by Brown Funeral Home in Wilmington, where she is from.

In her obituary, Wright was described as a “happy girl with a beautiful laugh and smile” who loved to sing and dance for her family. Wright “always saw the positive and bright side of everything around her,” the obituary says.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
