GARY, Ind. – Officers with the Lake County Sheriff’s Department rescued a dog from the roof of a three-story house in Gary, Indiana on Tuesday.
What we know:
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office said Officer Vicari was flagged down around 1 p.m. near 18th and Malcolm Drive after someone spotted a dog stranded on a rooftop.
Another officer, Sgt. Salomon, enlisted the help of nearby tree experts from Townsend Tree Company, who provided a boom lift to assist in the rescue.
