Veterinary expert highlights pet dental health and new products for dogs

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – February marks Pet Dental Health Month.

Tom Dock from Noah’s Animal Hospital joined “Life.Style.Live!” Host Marlee Thomas in the studio with a special guest, Kratos the Bullmastiff, to highlight key tips for maintaining pet oral health.

Tom recently attended the world’s largest veterinary conference in Orland, which attracted over 30,000 veterinarians and professionals.

One of his major takeaways from the conference is the importance of using pet-specific toothpaste. Tom advised that you should not use human toothpaste, as it contains fluoride, which is harmful to pets.

He recommended Tartar Shield, a local Noblesville company, as a top choice for dog owners looking to brush their pets’ teeth at home.

With spring approaching, Dr. Tom reminded pet owners to stay on top of vaccinations. He recommends Next Technology from Merck Animal Health, which uses segments of RNA to create safer, more effective pet vaccines.

This innovative method presents portions of pathogens to the immune system, helping dogs fight off infections without the risk of adverse reactions.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
