GENESEE COUNTY, Mich. – The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office is looking to question two people in relation an animal abuse case which resulted in the death of two dogs in Grand Blanc Twp.
On November 27, 2024, Genesee County Animal Control Officers were dispatched to the Parkwood Mobile Home Park in the 5100 block of Justin Dr. after reports were made of a dog left abandoned inside a residence.
According to the park manager, the residents were seen by witnesses moving their belongings out of the home on November 11th.
When animal control entered the residence, police found two dead puppies, and one dog that was still alive.
Genesee County Veterinary Doctor Terri McComick says the puppies suffered from severe starvation. The exam revealed that hair, plastic and metal were all found in their stomachs of the dogs.
The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in locating two individuals. 46-year-old Bruce Arlyn Austin and 43-year-old Jamie Lynn Cross are wanted for questioning in connection to the death of these animals. The surviving animal from this case, a dog named Bubba, has been adopted.
