‘Love Island U.K.’ Winner Jack Fincham Jailed After His ‘Out of Control’ Dog Bit Man and Woman

Love Island U.K. star Jack Fincham has been jailed for six weeks after his dog bit two people.

On Wednesday, Jan. 29,  Essex Police confirmed in a press release that the reality star, 32, had been jailed after he pleaded guilty with two counts of being in charge of a dangerously out of control dog.

Fincham rose to fame when he won season 4 of Love Island UK with ex Dani Dyer in 2018.

Police said Fincham’s dog was “dangerously out of control” and had injured a man in Kent.

Fincham pleaded guilty to the charges at Southend-on-Sea Magistrates’ Court on 29 January 2025, per the release, and was sentenced to six weeks in jail.

Police say the first incident took place in Saleh Drive in Swanley, Kent, in September 2022, when a man in his 40s was injured on his arm by Fincham’s dog.

The dog struck again when it grabbed a woman’s leg in the town of Grays in Essex in June 2024.

According to the BBC, prosecutor Erin Peck stated that the man in the 2022 incident, Robert Sudell, initially accepted an apology over the incident. Fincham was then reportedly given a caution and told to undergo a responsible dog ownership course, and to muzzle his dog.

However, the outlet reports that after the second incident took place, the dog owner was charged.

Fincham was reportedly instructed to pay £2,000 contribution to kennelling costs, a £961 fine and £200 compensation to Sudell.

The orders also include that his dog must be muzzled in public places, kept on a lead and not left alone with any person under 16-years-old.
