‘Dogs Behaving (Very) Badly’ To Cross 100-Episode Milestone For Paramount Network Channel 5 After Double Season Order

EXCLUSIVE: Dogs Behaving (Very) Badly is cementing itself as one of Paramount network Channel 5‘s longest-running stalwarts after receiving a hefty double season order that will see it cross the 100-episode mark.

Channel 5 said Dogs Behaving (Very) Badly is its highest-performing factual entertainment format over the last four years, after achieving a peak average audience of 1.2 million for the latest series, the sixth.

The show sees presenter Graeme Hall set out on a mission to restore dog and human relationships across the country.  With years of experience and no-nonsense advice, he has built his reputation on finding easy to follow training techniques and long-lasting fixes to almost any unwanted dog behavior.

Having only launched in 2019, the double-season order will take Dogs Behaving (Very) Badly up to eight seasons and beyond the 100-episode mark – a rare feat for a Channel 5 show. Other Channel 5 factual hits include Cruising with Jane McDonald and Our Yorkshire Farm.

Avalon produces and distributes and the show has been remade in Australia for Network 10, which is also hosted by Hall, while finished tape of the UK version has been picked up in Germany, Scandinavia, Belgium and Canada. Deadline hears the show has sparked interest from American buyers.

Channel 5 Commissioning Editor, Factual, Kit Morey said: “Reaching 100 episodes is testament to Graeme and his understanding of our four-legged friends. Each and every dog we feature is unique and so loved by their owners, and each and every owner learns something about themselves as well as how to help their dog be better behaved.”

Avalon exec Jamie Isaacs added: “I’d like to say a huge thanks to Graeme, Channel 5 and our brilliant production team for all their work on such a great show.”

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
