HOUSTON — It’s a scene straight out of a holiday movie: Southeast Texas blanketed in snow, a rare spectacle for the city known more for its sweltering summers than its frosty winters. But it wasn’t just the people enchanted by the magical winter wonderland: dogs across the Houston area had a blast, many experiencing snow for the first time. Others didn’t quite know what to make of the mysterious white stuff.
Experts warn against keeping them out too long because the snow and ice can cause discomfort on their paws. The smaller breeds or those with short fur also shouldn’t stay out too long without being bundled up.
