SHELBY COUNTY, Ala. (WBRC) – As temperatures have dropped to dangerously low levels across the state of Alabama, one animal shelter in Shelby County is looking for help to keep animals warm.
Shelby Humane’s “Foster For The Freeze” gives people the chance to pick up a puppy or dog and provide warm shelter during this week’s cold weather.
Anyone wanting to help can visit Shelby Humane between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday to choose a dog to take home and foster during the freezing temperatures.
The shelter says they’ll provide everything needed to take care of the animals, including a leash, collar, food, and a crate if needed.
“All you have to give is love and a warm sport for them to relax,” Shelby Human said on social media.
The event will be in person only. They said staff will not be able to answer phone calls or emails regarding the event.
Shelby Humane is located at 381 McDow Road in Columbiana.
