FRIES, Va. (WDBJ) – Two dogs and a cat have died after a house fire Wednesday in Fries, according to the Fries Fire Department.
Firefighters say crews were dispatched at 8:22 p.m. to reports of a single-story house fire; heavy flames could be seen coming from the front and back of the home.
According to firefighters, heavy fire had spread throughout the right side of the house and into the attic.
The Galax Fire Department assisted crews in extinguishing the flames.
The cause of the fire has not been determined.
