Two dogs were rescued from a house fire on Trilium Lane in Mentor on Jan. 14.
Nobody was home, and no injuries were reported.
According to Ron Zak, the acting Mentor Fire chief, a structure fire started on the outside of the residence in the afternoon on Jan. 14 and made its way to the interior. There was significant damage, and the fire is currently under investigation.
Neighbors rescued one dog and firefighters rescued a second dog, according to Zak.
