Tears at moment woman realizes she raised an “emotionally intelligent” dog

Dogs are incredibly intuitive animals that can sense feelings and pick up on what is happening around them. One family realized just how in tune pups can be after bringing home a rescue dog.

The family rescued Bosco after his previous owner passed away. The neighbors had looked for a home for the dog for about six months before this family, known on TikTok as @bosco.and.the.fam, came across his ad on Facebook.

The owner, who wishes to remain nameless, told Newsweek via TikTok that her daughter saw Bosco’s picture and begged for the family to take him.

“When we brought him home, he was wild, and I was totally unsure about him, and my daughter begged for us to keep him,” Bosco’s owner said. “About an hour later, they snuggled up together and started watching TV, and that’s when I knew we couldn’t let him go.”

From then on, she started picking up on how Bosco was in tune with the entire family, which she shared in Thursday’s TikTok video. She learned they added an “emotionally intelligent” dog to the family as he shared all of their emotions through the ups and downs.

Bosco snuggled with her daughter to watch TV and comforted their other canine who wasn’t feeling well. And when that dog, unfortunately, crossed the rainbow bridge, he cried. He looked at her pictures and whined, a sign that he remembered her. Bosco also started reacting to baby sounds as they prepared him for the arrival of their newborn.

Each moment left the family stunned as Bosco immediately knew how to step in and over a lending paw. He became the family’s rock instantly.

“Having him as a dog has been a blessing for our family, especially after losing our elderly dog Sophie to kidney failure,” the owner said. “He helped comfort us during those times.”
