WYOMING, Pa. — People came out hoping to find a furry companion in Luzerne County on Saturday afternoon.
These dogs and pups attended the event, all ready to find their “fur-ever” homes.
Connor Shonis of Rescue Pets Serving Vets says, “They have this beautiful facility kind of where the dogs can run where they want and kind of show their full personalities. We really just want to get the dogs and the veterans the kind of companionship and like partners that they both deserve.”
While the dogs were available for anyone to adopt, the non-profit specializes in getting veterans a companion by waiving all adoption fees for those who have served.
