Two dogs and 20 migrants repatriated to Cuba after Key West interception

Two dogs and 20 migrants were repatriated to Cuba following an illegal migration attempt near Key West.

The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) stated that on December 30, a USCG aircrew notified watchstanders of a migrant vessel approximately 36 miles south of Key West.

“Attempting to illegally migrate through the Florida Straits, Windward and Mona Passages is not only illegal, but extremely dangerous,” said Lt. Nicholas Fujimoto, a Coast Guard District Seven enforcement officer. “No one should risk their lives on unsafe rustic vessels in unpredictable seas.”

According to the report, a crew intercepted the vessel and processed the migrants.

The news release stated that they received essential services, including food, water, shelter, and basic medical care, before being returned to their home country on Wednesday.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
