Woman offers therapy dog visits around North Country

WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) – Research shows therapy dogs can help reduce stress, anxiety and depression in people.

Casey Scharsich of Groot’s Canine brings these animals to North Country nursing homes, libraries and schools for free.

She appeared on 7 News at Noon with her dog, Groot. Watch her interview above.

Casey trains dogs as a business but volunteers to bring certified therapy dogs to people.

If you’re interested in having Casey bring therapy dogs to your location, call her at 757-585-0393 or visit the Groot’s Canine Facebook page.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
