A Fayetteville woman was arrested last month for allegedly leaving two dogs alone inside a home to starve to death.
Shannon Nicole Twine, 39, is charged with two counts each of felony killing an animal by starvation, felony cruelty to animals and misdemeanor abandonment of an animal in the deaths of a coonhound mix named Foxy and another dog not named in the record, court records show.
According to the charging document, the dogs died after being left alone for an extended period in a home on Cheltenham Road.

Twine was arrested at 3:40 a.m. Dec. 20 at a Circle K on Robeson Street, the arrest report states. She was released from the Cumberland County jail the same day on an unsecured bail, court records show.
Twine could not be reached for comment Thursday and a phone number listed for her in the court record was disconnected.
