Dogs rescued after falling through ice in Cumberland

CUMBERLAND, Maine (WABI) – Two dogs were rescued after falling through ice Monday afternoon in Cumberland.

Cumberland’s Fire Department says they responded to Knights Pond where it was reported three people, and two dogs fell through the ice.

They say once they arrived around four, the three people were already out of the water.

They say crews made entry into the water and were able rescue the dogs.

The department says they trained on ice water rescue just days before this.

They urge those in the area to stay off of the ice as conditions are unsafe.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
